DPMS Lower is going to be ordered soon...

This weekend I am placing an order for a DPMS fully assembled lower end.  This includes a grip and folding stock that I plan on replacing not too long after I buy it.  The price will around 250 bucks plus a 20 dollar firearms dealer handling fee and shipping that will probably be outrageous.

The PMags i'm buying are about 15-17 dollars a pop and the upper is going to be 489 abouts, and will be a flat top style ar15 upper with m4 length barrel and handgaurd.

In other words she should be done in like two months and I can start wasting money on expensive ammunition.

In airsoft news, I got bored and started customizing my WE Hi-Capa 2011.  I'm planning on replacing the slide after the AR build is done, replacing the grip with an OD green grip with new trigger I talked about in my airsoft blog that I dont feel like updating.

Anyway anyway Josh lent/may be selling me his leapers tac light, and I custom filed a picatinny groove into the rail so it wouldn't fall off.  I also sanded and primed the gun (the primer is green so it looks OD green already in the pic), and started painting the controls and grip safety in dark flat black.  So far it looks pretty bossome (which is both boss and awesome).

The pic below is of the slot I cut into the frame. Theres a chance I'm going to just mount a full picatinny assembly there instead of cutting a slot out one by one. A custom fitted magpul one would only cost me about 7 dollars.
Anyway that's all I've got to say for now in hobby news. More to come.
